Today We’re the Greatest by Middle Kids
Today We’re the Greatest is an album by Middle Kids, released in 2021. 2 songs from it have charted on rock radio countdowns, with 12 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Questions”, on 7 lists with a best position of #7.
Today We're the Greatest, the second album from Sydney's Middle Kids, arrived on Domino on 19 March 2021, three years after their debut, Lost Friends. Hannah Joy sings and plays guitar, Tim Fitz handles bass and whatever else needs playing, and Harry Day drums, with Lars Stalfors in the producer's chair.
It's big-hearted indie rock with Joy's voice right up front, cracking open wide on the choruses while the band keeps things tight and bright behind her. It climbed to number 5 on the ARIA chart, won Best Rock Album at the 2021 ARIA Music Awards, and was up for Australian Album of the Year at that year's J Awards.
