Californian Soil by London Grammar
Californian Soil is an album by London Grammar, released in 2021. 1 song from it has charted on rock radio countdowns, with 2 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Baby It's You”, on 2 lists with a best position of #22.
Californian Soil, London Grammar's third album, finally surfaced on 16 April 2021 through Metal & Dust and Ministry of Sound, after a February release date came and went without explanation. The Nottingham trio of Hannah Reid, Dan Rothman and Dot Major had already taken Truth Is a Beautiful Thing to number 1 in the UK, and this one went to the top as well.
It's indie pop in widescreen, all hushed space and slow-building drama, with Reid's voice doing the heavy lifting over washes of keyboards and restrained beats. Four singles paved the way: "Baby It's You", the title track, "Lose Your Head" and "How Does It Feel".
