Death Race for Love by Juice Wrld

Death Race for Love, Juice Wrld's second studio album, came out on March 8, 2019, through Grade A Productions and Interscope, following his collaborative tape with Future, Wrld on Drugs. It's a sprawling, overstuffed ride, with a producer roster that runs from Nick Mira and Boi-1da to Hit-Boy, No I.D. and Frank Dukes, and guest turns from Young Thug, Brent Faiyaz, Clever and Rvssian. The emo-rap kid sings as much as he raps, smearing melodic heartbreak across guitar-tinged beats.

"Robbery", the Nick Mira-produced lead single, was the hook that reeled everyone in, with the Purps-produced "Hear Me Calling" right behind it. Critics mostly shrugged; the fans didn't. It entered the Billboard 200 at number one with 165,000 units, his first chart-topper, and was certified double platinum in 2021. It was also the last album he released in his lifetime: he died that December.
