In Our Heads by Hot Chip
In Our Heads is an album by Hot Chip, released in 2012. 1 song from it has charted on rock radio countdowns, with 2 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Night And Day”, on 2 lists with a best position of #47.
In Our Heads, Hot Chip's fifth studio album, arrived in June 2012 as the London synth-pop outfit's first record for Domino. They spent five months building it at Club Ralph, producer Mark Ralph's studio in London, and it plays like a band that has quit fretting about cool and gone chasing warmth instead: plush synths, house and disco pulses tucked under everything, and the two voices of Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard passing the lead back and forth. Al Doyle, Owen Clarke and Felix Martin keep the machine room humming with guitars, percussion and drum machines.
"Flutes" went out first as a promotional teaser, then "Night & Day" led the way as the proper single, with a Daphni remix pressed on vinyl for Record Store Day ahead of it. "How Do You Do?" and "Don't Deny Your Heart" kept the record on the dance floor through the rest of the year.
