Grouplove by Grouplove
Grouplove is an EP by Grouplove, released in 2010. 2 songs from it have charted on rock radio countdowns, with 21 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Colours”, on 20 lists with a best position of #6.
Grouplove's self-titled debut EP arrived on September 26, 2010, a year after Christian Zucconi, Hannah Hooper, Andrew Wessen, Sean Gadd and Ryan Rabin threw the band together, and it was Rabin, the drummer, who produced it. Atlantic reissued it once "Colours" started catching fire.
It's a short, sugar-rushed thing: Zucconi and Hooper trading lead vocals like friends shouting over a bonfire, Wessen's guitar ringing bright, Gadd and Rabin keeping it bouncing. "Colours" is the giddy, singalong reason most people found it, and "Naked Kids" keeps the carefree spirit going. Early reviews were warm, praising it as a compact, well-made first look at a band worth watching.
