For All the Dogs by Drake

For All the Dogs, Drake's eighth studio album, finally landed on OVO Sound and Republic on October 6, 2023, after a January tease and a string of delays. He built most of it on the road during the It's All a Blur Tour, and it plays that way: sprawling, restless and crowded with company. Teezo Touchdown, 21 Savage, J. Cole, SZA, Bad Bunny, Yeat and Lil Yachty all drift through, while a production roll call running from 40 and Boi-1da to the Alchemist, with even the late DJ Screw in the credits, keeps the beds plush and syrupy.

Critics split. The production got its due; the length and some of the lyrics did not. Nobody told the audience. "Slime You Out" and "First Person Shooter" both went to number one on the Hot 100, his twelfth and thirteenth, and the album opened with 402,000 units on top of the Billboard 200 on its way to becoming the year's biggest-selling rap record. "Rich Baby Daddy" was one of its five singles.
