Lotta Sea Lice, the joint album from Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile, came out October 13, 2017 on Matador, Marathon Artists and Milk! Records, and it sounds like two friends passing a guitar back and forth on a long, lazy afternoon. Her dry, conversational drawl and his sleepy, stretched-out croon wind around each other over loose, jangling indie rock that never seems in any rush to finish.
"Over Everything" and "Continental Breakfast" are the ones that stuck, easygoing, amiable songs with a warm glow, and the critics were happy to hang out too.
