A Head Full of Dreams by Coldplay
A Head Full of Dreams is an album by Coldplay, released in 2015. 2 songs from it have charted on rock radio countdowns, with 21 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Adventure of a Lifetime”, on 18 lists with a best position of #5.
A Head Full of Dreams, Coldplay's seventh album, arrived on 4 December 2015 on Parlophone in the UK and Atlantic in the US. The band started work on it soon after finishing Ghost Stories, and it swings hard the other way: where that record kept to the shadows, this one throws open the curtains, with Rik Simpson and Stargate producing and a guest list that runs from Beyoncé and Noel Gallagher to Tove Lo and Merry Clayton.
Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion go for full-colour pop-rock euphoria, all glittering guitar lines, disco-leaning grooves and stadium-sized choruses; "Adventure of a Lifetime" struts and "Hymn for the Weekend" glows. Critics were split, but the public wasn't: it topped the UK chart, stalled at number two in America behind Adele's 25, and fed a tour that ran for nearly two years.
