The Wild Trapeze by Brandon Boyd
The Wild Trapeze is an album by Brandon Boyd, released in 2010. 1 song from it has charted on rock radio countdowns, with 2 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Runaway Train”, on 2 lists with a best position of #50.
The Wild Trapeze, released by Epic on July 6, 2010, was Brandon Boyd's first record away from Incubus, and he made it with Dave Fridmann producing. Boyd pitched it as the work of a guy shut in a room full of toys, eager to learn what each one does and free to make as much racket as he likes, and that's about right: it's a looser, more playful thing than the day job, happy to chase a sound down a rabbit hole just to see where it goes.
"Runaway Train" was the calling card, its video posted online on June 21. The album opened at 33 on the Billboard 200, and it stayed his only solo outing until Echoes & Cocoons in 2022.
