Snow by Angus and Julia Stone

Snow, the fourth album from sibling duo Angus & Julia Stone, arrived on 15 September 2017 through EMI in Australia and Nettwerk in the States. Rick Rubin, who had produced their 2014 self-titled record, pointed them toward home, so the pair wrote every song themselves and cut the lot at Angus's cottage studio in Byron Bay.

You can hear the place in it: the songs drift and glow, hushed folk and indie pop wrapped in a warm late-night haze, the two voices curling around each other. The title track and "Chateau" went out first as singles, the latter with a video directed by Jessie Hill, and "Chateau" became the one listeners held on to. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2018, the album was up for Best Blues and Roots Album and Best Independent Release.
