Uplifter by 311
Uplifter is an album by 311, released in 2009. 2 songs from it have charted on rock radio countdowns, with 31 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Hey You”, on 21 lists with a best position of #18.
Uplifter, 311's ninth album, came out on Volcano on June 2, 2009, ending the Omaha band's longest wait between records: almost four years since Don't Tread on Me. Bob Rock produced. The lineup hadn't budged in years, with Nick Hexum and SA Martinez trading vocals, Tim Mahoney on lead guitar, P-Nut on bass and Chad Sexton on drums.
The title isn't false advertising. This is sunny, big-hearted alternative rock buffed to a high gloss, and "Hey You" and "It's Alright" wear their good vibes right on the sleeve. Fans turned out: it debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200, the highest the band had ever charted at that point.
