"The Revealing Science of God (Dance of the Dawn)" is one of four side-long pieces on Tales from Topographic Oceans, the double album Yes put out on Atlantic in December 1973. It started with a footnote: on the Close to the Edge tour, Jon Anderson read Paramahansa Yogananda's summary of four kinds of Hindu scripture in Autobiography of a Yogi, and he and Steve Howe spent the rest of the tour working out the themes and the music. Rehearsals in London settled it at one side per scripture.
Anderson and Howe wrote the words, and the music is shared with Chris Squire, Rick Wakeman and Alan White, on his first Yes studio record. Eddy Offord produced with the band at Morgan Studios in London, done up to look like a farm. Wakeman never warmed to the concept and quit once the tour was over.
