“WON'T GIVE IN” by The Finn Brothers

"Won't Give In" comes from Everyone Is Here, the 2004 album Tim and Neil Finn made as the Finn Brothers, their second under that name. The New Zealand brothers wrote it together, words and music, and sing it together too, with Neil on guitar, Tim on piano and percussion, Sebastian Steinberg on bass and Matt Chamberlain on drums.

Getting the album made took two runs at it: they cut it first in upstate New York with Tony Visconti, the Bowie producer, then, half a year on, started over in Los Angeles with Mitchell Froom, a Crowded House stalwart, keeping some of the first batch for B-sides and a later special edition. The song found a second home on the soundtrack of the film Because of Winn-Dixie.
