“Anyhow” by Tedeschi Trucks Band

"Anyhow" comes from Let Me Get By, the 2016 album the Tedeschi Trucks Band cut at Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks' home studio in Jacksonville, Florida, during breaks from the road in early 2015. Tedeschi, Trucks and Mike Mattison wrote it; unlike its predecessor, the whole album was the band's own writing, with a hand from Doyle Bramhall II, and Trucks produced it by himself for the first time.

It takes the whole caravan to play it. Tedeschi sings lead with Mattison, Alecia Chakour, Mark Rivers and Bramhall behind her, Trucks plays electric and acoustic guitar with Bramhall adding more, Kofi Burbridge covers Hammond organ and grand piano, Tim Lefebvre plays bass, and Tyler Greenwell and J.J. Johnson double up on drums. Maurice Brown's trumpet, Saunders Sermons' trombone and Kebbi Williams' sax fill out the horns, and Bobby Tis engineered and mixed.
