"Blinded by the Sun" was the second single off Do It Yourself, the one and only studio album by English alternative rock band the Seahorses, and it landed on 14 July 1997. Chris Helme wrote it, and it gave the band a proper hit, peaking at number seven on the UK Singles Chart.
Guitarist John Squire supplied the sleeve: his own 1997 painting, also called Blinded by the Sun. The CD single backed it with Squire's "Kill Pussycat Kill" and Helme's "Moving On", while the cassette and seven-inch carried "Moving On" alone.
