The title track of Mumford & Sons' debut album, "Sigh No More" arrived with the record in October 2009 in the UK, a few months before it reached North America the following February. The writing credit is shared by Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, Winston Marshall and Ted Dwane, and the band arranged it together; Markus Dravs produced it, François Chevallier engineered and Ruadhri Cushnan mixed.
The album it named carried the British folk rock band a long way. It made the Mercury Prize shortlist in 2010, won Best British Album at the Brit Awards in 2011 and climbed to number two in both Britain and America.
