"Inappropriate Behaviour" came out in May 2019, the fourth single to arrive ahead of 14 Steps to a Better You, the second album by Australian pop rock duo Lime Cordiale, which finally landed in 2020. Louis and Oliver Leimbach wrote it, Dave Hammer produced it, and it went gold in Australia in 2020.
The video, directed by Aimée-Lee X Curran and Jack Sheppard, plays on the manipulator figure in the song: the band sets up in the studio, and a 10-year-old walks in and starts telling them how things ought to go. The point, they said, was holding on to your own vision when everyone around you wants to steer it.
