The Wild Feathers by Wild Feathers
The Wild Feathers is an album by Wild Feathers, released in 2013. 1 song from it has charted on rock radio countdowns, with 11 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “The Ceiling”, on 11 lists with a best position of #4.
The Wild Feathers' self-titled debut landed on Warner Bros. in 2013, three years after Ricky Young, Joel King and Taylor Burns got together in Nashville to start a country rock band. The hook was built into the lineup: all three had fronted bands of their own before, so this one arrived with a surplus of lead singers.
The record rides that three-way vocal pile-up over rootsy, open-road rock, and "The Ceiling" has held on with countdown listeners for well over a decade. Drummer Ben Dumas joined only after the debut came out that summer, which makes this very much the founding trio's record.
