Den of Thieves by The Trews
Den of Thieves is an album by The Trews, released in 2005. 4 songs from it have charted on rock radio countdowns, with 5 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Poor Ol' Broken Hearted Me”, on 1 list with a best position of #6.
Den of Thieves, the second full-length album from the Trews, came out on Epic in 2005, and it's the sound of a rock band from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, sizing up the big stages. Jack Douglas produced, and he gives them a big, meaty, classic-rock sound: fat riffs, swaggering grooves and Colin MacDonald's hearty, hollering vocals riding on top.
The singles came in a steady stream, "So She's Leaving" first, then "Yearning", "Poor Ol' Broken Hearted Me" and "I Can't Say", and the record climbed to number 6 on the Canadian Albums Chart and went gold in Canada in January 2006, following House of Ill Fame and paving the way for No Time for Later.
