Hollywood Town Hall is an album by The Jayhawks, released in 1992. 3 songs from it have charted on rock radio countdowns, with 36 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Take Me With You When You Go”, on 15 lists with a best position of #373.
Hollywood Town Hall, the Jayhawks' third album, came out on American Recordings in 1992, and it's the Twin Cities band at full harmony: Gary Louris on electric guitar and Mark Olson on acoustic guitar and harmonica, both singing lead and blending until you can't tell where one voice stops, with Ken Callahan on drums. It's country rock with the dust still on it, warm and aching and ringing like a screen door on a summer evening.
"Waiting for the Sun" and "Settled Down Like Rain" are the pick of it, alongside "Take Me With You When You Go". It never sold big, stalling at 192 on the Billboard 200 while reaching 11 on the Heatseekers chart. Even the cover is homespun: British photographer Andrew Catlin shot it in Hollywood Township, in Carver County, Minnesota.
