Black Holes is an album by The Blue Stones, released in 2015. 1 song from it has charted on rock radio countdowns, with 1 countdown appearance in total. The biggest is “Be My Fire”, on 1 list with a best position of #36.
Black Holes, the debut album from Windsor, Ontario duo the Blue Stones, first came out on October 20, 2015, and then got a second life: the pair signed with Entertainment One in August 2018, the label reissued it that October 26, and they hit the US on a tour named for "Be My Fire". Tarek Jafar sings and handles guitar, bass and piano, with Justin Tessier on percussion and backing vocals.
Two players, one garage-sized racket: fat, fuzz-caked blues riffs, stomping rhythm and Jafar hollering over the top, everything stripped down to what two people can carry. The video for the title track, "Black Holes (Solid Ground)", went back out through Billboard that November, and by early 2020 the Juno Awards had nominated the Blue Stones for Breakthrough Group of the Year.
