Multitude by Stromae
Multitude is an album by Stromae, released in 2022. 3 songs from it have charted on rock radio countdowns, with 3 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “L'Enfer”, on 1 list with a best position of #3.
Multitude, Stromae's third studio album, came out on Mosaert on 4 March 2022, nine years after Racine carrée sold two million copies in France for the Belgian singer, rapper and producer. That long silence makes the record feel like an event, and he fills it with a global palette: the hip-hop and electronic backbone he built his name on, now threaded with sounds borrowed from musical cultures around the world.
"Santé" and "L'Enfer" show that wide reach best, and along with "Fils de Joie" they carried the record onto the countdowns. It's pop rap with a restless ear, polished to a high shine and still full of surprises.
