Colour the Small One, Sia's third album, arrived on 19 January 2004 in Australia and the UK, with the US following on 3 February. By then the Adelaide singer had moved to London and lent her voice to Zero 7, and here she works with producer Jimmy Hogarth, who co-wrote three of the songs and played a range of instruments on them. It's a hushed, bruised record, soft-focus arrangements wrapped around that cracked, aching voice.
It took a while to find its audience, and "Breathe Me" did the finding. The song closed the final episode of HBO's Six Feet Under in August 2005, alternative radio picked it up, and the album was reissued in the US in January 2006 on the strength of it, eventually reaching 14 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. "Breathe Me" later turned up on Bionic Woman too.
