Circuital by My Morning Jacket
Circuital is an album by My Morning Jacket, released in 2011. 3 songs from it have charted on rock radio countdowns, with 38 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Holdin' on to Black Metal”, on 24 lists with a best position of #5.
Circuital, the sixth studio album from My Morning Jacket, came out on May 31, 2011, and it finds the band stretching out in every direction at once, from the slow, patient build of the title track to the gleefully strange strut of "Holdin' on to Black Metal" and the soft-focus sway of "Wonderful (The Way I Feel)".
They teased it with a free download every week for six weeks: five live cuts from their October 2010 shows at New York's Terminal 5, then the new title song to close the run. Reviews were mostly warm, and it opened at number 5 on the Billboard 200, beating the number 9 debut of Evil Urges, while also topping the independent albums chart. Vinyl diehards got it as a double 12-inch set spinning at 45 RPM.
