Capital Fiction, released in February 2026, is the second album Australian musician Adam Hyde has made under his Keli Holiday alias. He announced it the previous November and pitched it himself as a kind of synth-punk-rock: fun first, with feeling sprinkled through, a little lusty and a little exposed. He also admitted there was no real sonic identity for the songs to stay true to, which may be the most honest press line of the year.
That push and pull is what gives the record its kick, the sugar rush of the synths bumping up against moments that land surprisingly raw. "Dancing2" is the one that caught fire, with "Ecstasy" riding along behind it, and a March run of home-country dates, the Capital Fiction Tour, was lined up to carry it.
