Unreal Unearth, Hozier's third album, arrived on 18 August 2023, and the Irish singer went all the way down for it: a loose concept record that takes its map from Dante's Inferno. With Bekon producing, it keeps the folk, soul and blues bones of his earlier work and dresses them in literary and religious imagery, which has always been his home turf.
"Eat Your Young" and "Francesca" were the singles, the first a slow, smoky groove with teeth, the second a big, aching swell, and "All Things End" gives the descent a hushed, hymnlike landing. Reviews were largely warm, the album opened at number one in both Ireland and the UK, and he took it on the road across Ireland, the UK, North America, Australia and New Zealand from June 2023 into October 2025.
