Crash by Dave Matthews Band
Crash is an album by Dave Matthews Band, released in 1996. 7 songs from it have charted on rock radio countdowns, with 153 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Crash Into Me”, on 70 lists with a best position of #4.
Crash, the second studio album from Dave Matthews Band, came out on RCA on April 30, 1996, with Steve Lillywhite producing, and it's a loose-limbed, jam-happy record that still keeps its songs in shape. The grooves twist and circle, the band stretches out, and the tunes always find their way back down to earth.
"Crash Into Me" is the slow, swaying centerpiece, a song that hangs everything on its melody, while "Too Much" struts and jabs, "So Much To Say" skips along on nervy energy, and "Two Step" and "41" leave plenty of room to wander.
It sold, and it kept selling: seven million copies by March 2000, a septuple-platinum certification, and to this day it remains the band's best-selling album.
