Torino by Cinerama
Torino is an album by Cinerama, released in 2002. 4 songs from it have charted on rock radio countdowns, with 4 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Quick, Before It Melts”, on 1 list with a best position of #2.
Torino, Cinerama's 2002 album for Manifesto Records, puts an indie-pop band in a room with Steve Albini, and the pairing works better than you might guess: the melodies stay pretty, but the sound is live, close and a little bruised around the edges, with the guitars given real bite. "Health & Efficiency" was on the air before the album arrived, and "Quick, Before It Melts", "Careless" and "Cat Girl Tights" followed it onto the countdowns.
