Concrete Sky EP by Beth Orton
Concrete Sky EP is an EP by Beth Orton, released in 2002. 1 song from it has charted on rock radio countdowns, with 8 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Concrete Sky”, on 8 lists with a best position of #37.
Concrete Sky, Beth Orton's second EP, came out on Heavenly in 2002, a four-song CD built around the lead track from her album Daybreaker. The big draw is the company she keeps on it: Orton wrote "Concrete Sky" with Johnny Marr, and Ryan Adams chips in vocals and guitar.
It's a neat snapshot of where she stood after the BRIT-winning Central Reservation, the English songwriter who'd made her name blending folk with electronica now trading ideas with a couple of heavyweight guests. Daybreaker itself went top 10 in the UK.
