I Love You Like a Brother, the debut album from Australian singer-songwriter Alex Lahey, came out on 6 October 2017 through Dead Oceans, and it's a blast of wiry, big-hearted guitar pop that never overstays its welcome. Lahey sings it scrappy and sharp, with choruses that land like a friendly punch on the arm. "I Haven't Been Taking Care of Myself" and "Every Day's the Weekend" are the ones rock radio's countdowns grabbed.
At home it climbed to 15 on the ARIA chart, picked up a J Awards nomination for Australian Album of the Year and, at the 2018 ARIA Music Awards, a nod for Breakthrough Artist – Release. The Best of Luck Club followed in 2019.
